What does 'variation switcher' mean?

When designing the 'Gomeisa' theme we knew that most people would like a selection of different styles to choose from. That's why we've included 4 different variations. You can switch between them by pressing the appropiate buttons at the top-right portion of the theme. If you don't want the 'variation switcher' in your theme and you'd rather pick the variation yourself, then refer to our guide on how to select a variation after a 'standard install'.

What's the difference between the 'standard install' and the 'full install'?

For your convinience, we've provided you with two installs. We know that not everyone will want to have the 'variation switcher' in their theme when their site goes live. This is why we offer two installation options. If you don't want the 'variation switcher' in your theme, then pick the 'standard install', but if you'd like to give your users a little choice in how they enjoy your website, then why not pick the 'full install' which includes the 'variation switcher'.

How can I switch the variation when I perform a 'standard install'?

If you're opting for the 'standard install'—which is the version without the variation switcher—then you might want to switch the variation from the default (prime) to another. Doing this is surprisingly easy. All you need to do is open up index.php and find the line <link rel="stylesheet" href="stylesheets/prime.css" /> and change the green code to any of the following stylesheets: prime, beta, gamma, delta. Or if you've created your own variation then you can use that too. Once you've edited it, it should look something like this: <link rel="stylesheet" href="stylesheets/gamma.css" />

Be aware that you'll need to edit this line of code for all of your pages. It only takes about 5 minutes to edit 10 pages, so it's not really that difficult. But it does feels like a chore, and who likes chores?

Can I remove the 'Fueled by Veroxium' link in the footer?

You can remove the 'Fueled by Veroxium' link if you want, but we would greatly appreciate it if you would leave it in. On a similar note, if you're feeling pretty proud of the success your website's had since you've installed the 'Gomeisa' theme, we'd love to see it and we'll even put a link to it on our website. All you have to do is contact us and tell us about your site.
